Eclettic Magnetism - DROMe Spring Summer 2020

For her Spring Summer 2020 collection Creative Director Marianna Rosati took inspiration from the late ‘70s and early ‘80s interior decor’s eclectic aesthetic: a funky saturated atmosphere softened and reinterpreted as if it was printed on a film frame.

The woman who lives inside this opulent space is the captivating protagonist of the collection. Like a modern Elvira Hancock, the character played by Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface, her magnetic charm comes from a subtle and sophisticated sensuality. She’s a strong enigmatic woman who’s not afraid to dare, fierce and sharp.

Volumes and lines recall the style between the seventies and eighties: tailored male suits with wide shoulders are combined with glamorous deep V neck dresses, bold minidresses and feminine skirts.

Leather is treated as a fabric, combined with smooth silk to enhance his lightness, gaining a refined and polished allure and redefining its features. A delicate draping is used to revise the essential styes of the female wardrobe, underlining the body shapes on knitwear and mini tops. Warm luxurious tones dominate the colour palette: harvest golds, earthy browns, oranges and shades of white, evoking a glamorous vibe. A zebra print and an optical pattern mark the otherwise minimalistic cuts, together with maxi ring belts that underline the waist on trench jackets and dresses.

Accessories add a refined touch: optical braided bags with maxi ring straps, mini mesh shopping bags with rounded details and sunglasses with a sharp design inspired by the ‘80s. Elegant sabots and décolletés with square toes and slim heels complete the looks
