He is an Italian film director. He has worked his way from making short films only aired on Italian television to become a well-known and successful American filmmaker. Muccino has directed 10 films and is best known for his first American film “The Pursuit of Happiness”, starring Will Smith. Muccino has been nominated for and won several awards including the David di Donatello Award for Best Director in 2001 for his film “The Last Kiss”.

Nina Hoss (born 7 July 1975) is a German actress and singer. Her first major success was the title role Rosemarie Nitribitt of Bernd Eichinger’s “A Girl Called Rosemary” in 1996. She won the 2003 Adolf Grimme Award for her role in his movie “Something to Remind Me” and two years later the Adolf Grimme Award in “Gold for Wolfsburg”. Her performance of Yella, earned her the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2007 and the German Film Award in 2008. In July 2016 she was named as a member of the main competition jury for the 73rd Venice International Film Festival.

She won several prizes, as the Nastro d’Argento for Best Actress in 2004 thanks to her performance in La Meglio Gioventù. She is the sponsor of 73rd Venice Film Festival.

Fabrizio Gifuni (born 16 July 1966) is an Italian stage, film and television actor. He won two Nastro d’Argento Awards and a David di Donatello Award.

In 2002 Gifuni was appointed EFP Shooting Star at the Berlin International Film Festival for his performance in Giuseppe Bertolucci’s “Probably Love”. In 2003 thanks to his performance in “La meglio Gioventù” he received his second nomination for David di Donatello and won the Nastro d’Argento for Best Actor along with the rest of the male cast. He received a third nomination for David di Donatello in 2012, for Marco Tullio Giordana’s “Piazza Fontana: The Italian Conspiracy.” In 2014 he won the David di Donatello for Best Supporting Actor and the Nastro d’Argento for Best Actor for his role in “Il capitale umano”.

In July 2016 he was named as a member of the main competition jury for the 73rd Venice International Film Festival.
